Tribute

Last Wednesday, dozens of guests, friends, colleagues, collaborators and students of this great lady, gathered in the greenhouse around Yasmine Belkaid, Director General, Monica Sala, Director of Education and His Excellency Georges de Habsbourg-Lorraine, Hungarian Ambassador to France, for a ceremony dedicating to her a “historic building that she cherished so much, that of the Institut Pasteur's former hospital” and which will now be named after her.

report

The first cases of mpox in the Central African Republic were recorded in the 1980s in a family living in the south-west of the country. The Institut Pasteur de Bangui monitored these cases and has since developed expertise on the disease, so it was well positioned to sound the alarm when the first outbreaks occurred in Africa in 2017-2018.

Agenda

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Department, in collaboration with the Disability Mission, invites you to join an exceptional roundtable on December 16. Four Paralympic athletes will share their inspiring stories of challenges, achievements, and the pursuit of excellence, reflecting the values of science: perseverance, innovation, and pushing boundaries.

Scientific events

The Scientific Secretariat General compiles information on the week’s conferences and publications, patents, funding opportunities, job vacancies, training and events that you may find useful for your career...

Research

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the LabEx IBEID held a scientific conference from October 16 to 18. The major shifts in climate that have been occurring for several years are posing new infectious challenges, requiring scientists to reconsider strategic research priorities.

support

As part of its commitment to providing its students and scientists with accommodation options near its Paris sites, the Institut Pasteur has taken several measures which will apply from the start of 2025.

Museum

The permanent exhibition in the future museum will offer visitors a glimpse inside the Institut Pasteur's laboratories, from past to present. The museum team is working to restore scientific objects and instruments, some of which have never been presented to the public.
