GAIP computer application for managing permissions at the Institut Pasteur

In 2017, the Information Systems Department and the Risk Prevention Department in the Technical Resources and Environment Department launched a plan to introduce an online system for requests to access containment laboratories. Since January 2018, all requests for BSL3 access have been made via the GAIP application for managing permissions at the Institut Pasteur.

This system has now been extended to access requests for BSL2+ laboratories.

  • You don't have BSL2+ access, you need to work in one of the BSL2+ laboratories on campus: from October 17, anyone needing should submit an access request via the GAIP application.

  • You have BSL2+ access : you should submit an access request via the GAIP application. From January 15, 2019, only those who have submitted a request via GAIP will be granted BSL2+ access.

BSL2+ access will only be authorized for those with a valid training certificate (less than 5 years old) in occupational, chemical, biological risk training.

Two meetings will be held on:

  • Wednesday October 17 at 10am in the Jacques Monod lecture hall

  • Tuesday November 6 at 4pm in the François Jacob auditorium

to present all the features of the application.

Everyone should attend this introductory meeting (which will last an hour and a half) to find out how to use the tool.

Many thanks in advance for coming along.
