Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
With the arrival of spring, tick activity is on the rise and will reach its peak in June. As part of the OHTICKS project, INRA and the Institut Pasteur are carrying out a clinical trial on tick-borne diseases at four hospitals in France. They are looking for people bitten by ticks who go on to develop unexplained symptoms in the six months after the bite, so that they can investigate the infectious agents responsible for these symptoms. The results will be used to develop new diagnostic tests, raise awareness among the public and improve the treatment of tick-borne diseases.
