On July 8, the 26th Neuronal Plasticity Prize was awarded to three recipients including Thomas Bourgeron, Head of the Human Genetics and Cognitive Functions Unit. This year, the prize, which was first awarded in 1990, recognizes pioneering work on genetic vulnerability to autism, in particular the identification of genetic mutations that cause anomalies in synaptic plasticity and neuronal connectivity.
