New decisions following the latest Board of Directors meeting

At its meeting on April 19, 2019, the Institut Pasteur Board of Directors approved:

►The creation of new scientific departments

• Creation of the Computational Biology Department

On May 1, 2019, the current Center of Bioinformatics, Biostatistics and Integrative Biology will become a scientific department known as the Computational Biology Department.

At its meeting on April 19, 2019, the Board of Directors appointed Olivier Gascuel as Director of the Computational Biology Department as from May 1, 2019, for a two-year period, renewable once.

• Creation of the Global Health Department

On May 1, 2019, the Center for Global Health and the Infection and Epidemiology Department will merge to form the new Global Health Department.

At its meeting on April 19, 2019, the Board of Directors appointed Arnaud Fontanet as Director of the Global Health Department as from May 1, 2019, for a two-year period, renewable once.

►Appointments and reappointments of scientific directors

• Marc Lecuit has been appointed Director of the Cell Biology and Infection Department as from May 1, 2019, for a two-year period, renewable once.
