Created on the initiative of the Fondation Pour l'Audition and the Institut Pasteur, the Hearing Institute is an interdisciplinary center for fundamental and medical research with the objective to promote integrative approaches to auditory neuroscience and develop innovative diagnostic tools and curative treatments for hearing disabilities. To mark the opening of the Hearing Institute, an international inaugural meeting will be held on September at the Collège de France for the members of the scientific community who specialize in this subject.

The next seminar in the "Science & Society" cycle, entitled "Implications and challenges of the National Bioethics Consultation", will take place on June 25, 2019 at 5.30pm in the François Jacob auditorium. The speaker will be Professor Jean-François Delfraissy. In preparation for the seven-yearly revision of the French Bioethics Law, the National Consultative Ethics Committee (CCNE) organized a public consultation from January to April 2018 with experts and members of civil society on major issues in the field of bioethics

In preparation for the development of the Institut Pasteur's first mobility plan, the Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department is running a mobility survey. The adoption of a mobility plan is a legal obligation for French companies with more than 100 employees. It is a key part of the French Energy Transition Act, which aims to reduce traffic-related greenhouse gas emissions.
