The Institut Pasteur senior management team and Senior Management Board have decided to hold another general information meeting for all staff on the COVID-19 outbreak that is currently spreading across the world and the Institut Pasteur's concerted response to the novel virus.
The Institut Pasteur in Paris and its International Network of 32 institutes have been extremely active worldwide in responding with science to the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Its response currently involves a lot of people at the Institut Pasteur in Paris and several teams in the network in other countries.
To this day, SARS-CoV2, the virus responsible for COVID-19 pandemic, has been identified in more than 180 countries. It unfolded a once-in-a-century public health crisis, through his extensive impact on global economy directly caused by confinement measures. To confront these challenges, the 32 member institutes of the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN) are swinging into action.
