Appraisals: this year's campaign begins on Monday November 20

The appraisals and career development reviews will begin on Monday November 20 and continue until January 26, 2024.

Please note that appraisal and career development forms will need to be approved by January 9 at the latest for Compro promotion requests for non-scientific staff and requests to advance from technician to engineer status.

The forms will be available on the Career Portal (Talentsoft) via this link from Monday November 20.

Appraisals and career development reviews – Main points to remember

•    Appraisals and career development reviews apply to all staff at the Institut Pasteur, except for those on fixed-term contracts of less than six months, PhD students and contract workers. Since 2022, all postdoctoral fellows have been offered an appraisal as part of the campaign.

•    The campaign will run from November 20, 2023 to January 26, 2024. Any promotion requests must be approved by January 9.

•    As in previous years, the appraisals will be based on the online forms available via the Career Portal (Talentsoft). The forms have been made more user friendly and practical, with an interactive quick access menu and easier browsing between the different sections. The forms have also been adapted to different job profiles to take into account the specific nature of employees' tasks and career development.

The appraisal system involves:

• An annual appraisal (reviewing activities in 2023, setting targets for 2024)

• A career development review designed to review staff career development and short- and medium-term career plans. We would remind you that this is a legal obligation that must be carried out at least every two years from the employee's recruitment date.

In addition to the career development review, there is an obligation for all employees with more than six years of service this year to be invited to attend a more detailed career review meeting.

where applicable, promotion requests for non-scientific staff at the Institut Pasteur (to be completed by January 9 at the latest).

Planning appraisals and career development reviews

The Human Resources Department would like to draw your attention to the fact that this year's campaign starts on November 20 and would encourage you to begin scheduling sessions well in advance. Make sure you allow enough time for an in-depth discussion: an hour and a half is a good guideline.
