The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Department, in collaboration with the fellows of the first Inclusive leadership program cohort, invites you to join us on December 1st at 2 :30pm in the François Jacob auditorium to celebrate the completion of this inaugural journey.

Launched in late 2024, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department, the Inclusive leadership program brought together participants from both scientific and support functions, united by a shared commitment to make inclusion a living practice at Institut Pasteur.

You are all invited to celebrate the completion of this first cohort and discover the initiatives they have developed to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment across our community.

This will be an interactive session, including a quizz, and opportunities for a collective reflection. Come ready to engage, exchange and reflect together on how inclusive leadership strengthens our community!

Together, we will explore three key themes addressed by the 2024 cohort:

  • Integrating into the Institut Pasteur: navigating the Institute, connecting teams, and fostering collaboration beyond silos.

  • Building Respect in the Workplace: identifying and addressing inappropriate behaviors, acting with integrity, and nurturing everyday respect.

  • Supporting Parenthood and Career Progression: advancing gender equity, accompanying parenthood, and enabling sustainable career trajectories.

The DEI team is also delighted to welcome two distinguished speakers who will enrich the discussion with their research and insights:

  • Carlota Facchini, co-head of the Advocay Division from the Observatory for the Fight Against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Higher Education and Research, presenting key findings from national surveys on harassment, discrimination, and gender-based violence, with a focus on the doctoral experiences.

  • Marta Domínguez Folgueras, sociologist at Sciences Po, who will share her work on the gendered impacts of parenthood on academic careers.

Looking ahead

Science is not only built in laboratories or reflected in publications, it also grows from how we collaborate, lead, and create an environment where every voice matters.
Inclusive leadership embodies this spirit. It means working across disciplines and functions, addressing challenges with integrity, and shaping a culture where diversity of thought, experience, and perspective fuels our collective success.

Are you inspired by this journey?

Do you want to strengthen your leadership skills while contributing to the Institut Pasteur’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion?

Stay tuned!

The second edition of the Inclusive Leadership Program will be launched, in collaboration with tDepartment, in early 2026: more information coming soon.
