Agenda

On September 10, the senior management team and the Department of Scientific Affairs will be holding the Institut Pasteur Young Scientists Conference, from 10am to 12 noon, both in person and on Teams. The event, only for internal scientists, will be an opportunity to give the floor to several G5 and U5 managers to present their research and also to feature the award ceremony for the Institut Pasteur Young Scientist Prize.

CORONAVIRUS

As we look ahead to the resumption of activities after the summer break, the health situation related to the COVID-19 epidemic unfortunately remains a cause for concern. Infection numbers are still high, although they seem to be stabilizing, and the hospital system remains under pressure in some regions. Given the uncertainty as to what impact the resumption of work and school and the level of vaccination will have on a possible resurgence in the epidemic over the coming weeks, the PBRP (Progressive Business Resumption Plan) Committee is announcing various measures...

COMMUNICATION

Ever since it was founded, the Institut Pasteur has enjoyed the generous support of the public, which has enabled it to pursue much of its scientific research and to advance knowledge in multiple fields, leading to real improvements in public health. But pursuing this ongoing research means creating ever closer links and mutual understanding with the general public. So it is vital to continue raising awareness among the public of both the importance of science and the continued need for gifts and donations.

Agenda

The recent association agreement signed between Université de Paris and the Institut Pasteur represents a great opportunity to strengthen and extend an existing partnership rooted in the synergy between the two institutions. The development of closer links will foster the pursuit of ambitious joint research projects. There has already been fruitful collaboration in the area of AMR. Those responsible for research on AMR at the Institut Pasteur and Université of Paris have decided to organize a joint conference in a bid to get to know each other better and work more closely together.

A webinar on COVID-19 is organized on September 14 from 2 to 3 pm by the scientific management team following the broadcast of the MOOC “Emerging and re-emerging viruses”, including a module on COVID-19 . It will be moderated by the Scientific Director of the Institut Pasteur, Christophe D'Enfert and will be held in English.
