40 YEARS OF HIV

Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, one of the scientists behind the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) discovery in 1983, is a retrovirologist internationally recognized for her immense contribution to HIV research. Her work earned her the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2008.

The celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the discovery of HIV at the Institut Pasteur will be accompanied by a large-scale media campaign to showcase the strength of the Institut Pasteur's research and its commitment to the field.

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and efforts to promote a healthy working environment for all staff, the Institut Pasteur is pursuing its commitment to greater diversity and inclusion by developing a disability strategy for campus.

Research

In 2022, the Institut Curie and the Institut Pasteur expressed a desire to develop a new collaborative research strategy, with the stated aim of speeding up the development of joint inventions leading to innovative products or services in the area of public health. A framework agreement was signed to formalize the pooling of scientific expertise and technical resources from the two institutes in the fields of basic, translational and clinical research.

Company set-up

The Startup Awareness (SuAw) office of Institut Pasteur will organize the 8th edition of the 2-days training “Start me up 2023” on June 8 – 9, 2023 at CFJ Auditorium. A two-day training program designed to inspire the development of startups in Life sciences and Health. This year’s theme is “Biotech & Medtech”.
