Inaugurated on Friday May 17, 2024, the Pasteur Fiocruz Center for Immunology and Immunotherapy, located in Fiocruz-Ceará, brings together scientists from the Institut Pasteur and Fiocruz, two Pasteur Network members, to develop an integrative approach to immunotherapies applied to both infectious and non-communicable diseases.

INTERVIEW

Microbes represent 95% of the biodiversity of the living world, but when the issue of biodiversity preservation is raised, these invisible organisms rarely get a mention. To mark the International Day for Biological Diversity, Philippe Sansonetti, Professor Emeritus at the Institut Pasteur and the Collège de France, spoke about the importance of protecting microbial biodiversity.

Since 2017, the Institut Pasteur has been running "Biology for non-biologists" (BNB) courses given by Pasteurians for support staff and assistants based in research units and departments, with the aim of improving their understanding of the working environment of scientists. Participants are introduced to the basics of biology, the main research topics at the Institut Pasteur and the workings of laboratories.

Museum

For the 2024 edition of the "Nuit Blanche" cultural event in Paris on June 1, the Pasteur Museum team are inviting the public to explore the contemporary art on campus, together with a scientist and a tour guide. Aï Nakano, a violinist at the Academy of the Paris Opera, will provide some musical interludes during this Art & Science tour.
