UniStem Day, coordinated by the University of Milan for more than 15 years, is the largest event in Europe for dissemination and outreach on stem cell science. The aim of this unique initiative is to encourage high school students to develop their scientific knowledge and awaken their curiosity by presenting them with the latest advances in research.

Tribute

On August 5, 2024, the Institut Pasteur was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Pierre Tiollais, an emblematic figure at the Institut Pasteur and a pioneer of genetic engineering in France, whose research on viral antigens led to the development of the recombinant vaccine for hepatitis B.

Conference

The upcoming lecture, entitled "Integrons: Decoding the Success of a not-so-Simple Recombination System" will be held on Thursday April 3 à 16 h 30 at 4.30 pm in the Émile Duclaux lecture hall, and will be led by Didier Mazel, head of the Bacterial Genome Plasticity unit.

For several years now, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Department of Corporate Social Responsibility and Technical Resources (DRSE-RT) and the Procurement group in the GreenTeam, has played a key role in encouraging its suppliers to actively promote their products with the lowest environmental impact (less packaging or plastic, more energy efficient) on the Institut Pasteur campus.

Human resources

The Skills Development Plan for 2025 will be rolled out on campus in early April. In your Talentsoft (Career Portal) space, you will be able to see the results of the assessment of training requirements raised during appraisals and career development reviews (EAP).

Museum

On November 30, 2024, in Bayeux, the Pasteur Museum preempted a rabies vaccination protocol dated April 1886. This was the first time that the Institut Pasteur had made use of the preemption authorization mechanism granted by the Ministry of Culture.
