In line with its mission to monitor respiratory viruses in France, the Institut Pasteur is mobilizing its teams, especially via the French National Reference Center (CNR) for Respiratory Viruses, to identify and confirm suspected cases of acute respiratory infections linked to the new coronavirus that emerged in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

Agenda

As one of a series of events to mark the centenary of Jules Bordet's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on immunity (1919), the Institut Pasteur will be holding a symposium entitled "Revisiting Bordet's legacy in light of today's immunology and microbiology". On behalf of the sympoisum, an exhibition on his life and scientific achievements, organized by the Pasteur Museum and the Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS), will be on display in the Salle des Actes.

PREVENTION

Work will begin this month on producing the Institut Pasteur's occupational risk assessment document. The aim of the risk assessment procedure is to encourage every head of entity (laboratories, platforms and administrative, technical and support departments) to take an active role in risk prevention and improving working conditions.
