At its meeting on Friday October 13, the Institut Pasteur Board of Directors appointed Professor Stewart Cole as President of the Institut Pasteur for a four-year term. Stewart Cole is an internationally renowned scientist and Professor of Microbial Pathogenesis. Since 2007 he has served as Professor and Director of the Global Health Institute at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) – a world-leading education and research center.
After four days of concerted efforts by the 38 Pasteurdon media partners, this year's campaign raised close to €1.5 million in pledges between October 12 and 15. For the 11th year in a row, our donors once again showed extraordinary generosity in supporting the Institut Pasteur's research.
