Agenda

Progress continues to be made on the drafting of the Institut Pasteur 2019-2023 strategic plan. The emphasis is on discussions, shared ideas and reflection, to enable the Institut Pasteur to develop a targeted, ambitious and realistic strategy for the coming years. The plan will also take account of the challenges that lie ahead for the Institut Pasteur, including the ongoing campus improvements and the development of resources.

Scientific events

The Scientific Secretariat General compiles information on the week’s conferences and publications, patents, funding opportunities, job vacancies, training and events that you may find useful for your career...

Research

To support scientists in their efforts to find funding opportunities, the Institut Pasteur Scientific Secretariat General has developed a new tool. This database of calls for proposals, known as "Grant Finder", was developed in house. It is mainly updated by the Grants Office, and further opportunities will soon be added by the Fundraising Department in the Department of Communications and Fundraising.

International

In 2013, the Zika virus emerged in French Polynesia and more than 1,500 cases were identified the following year in New Caledonia. Owing to the emergence of this outbreak, researchers from the Institut Pasteur de Nouvelle-Calédonie have tried to understand why the Zika virus caused epidemics in the Pacific while it circulated on a low level in Africa and in Asia.
