Visit

French Prime Minister Jean Castex, accompanied by Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, visited the Institut Pasteur on Monday January 10, 2022, to salute the efforts of scientists in the ongoing battle against COVID-19. The visit was an opportunity to highlight the need to strengthen preparedness for future emerging diseases. It was also an auspicious moment to launch the commemoration of the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur's birth in 2022.

SEASON'S GREETINGS

The New Year ceremony, held on Tuesday January 11, featured addresses by Christian Vigouroux, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and Stewart Cole, President. This event, organized remotely for the second year in a row because of the health situation, was attended by nearly 500 staff.

2019-2023 STRATEGIC PLAN

The Institut Pasteur Innovation Accelerator was set up in 2019 to de-risk the most promising research applications, boost their socio-economic transferability and thereby speed up the transition between the lab and the marketplace for medical products.

PREVENTION

Work will begin this month on producing the Institut Pasteur's occupational risk assessment document. The aim of the risk assessment procedure is to enable every head of entity (laboratories, platforms and administrative, technical and support departments) to take an active role in risk prevention and improving working conditions.
