François Romaneix was appointed as the Institut Pasteur's Senior Executive Vice-President Administration and Finance by the Board of Directors at its meeting on March 24, 2017. "It is a great honor for me to join the Institut Pasteur. I do so with enthusiasm, humility, and a commitment to support the development of the Institut Pasteur and the changes it introduces as it continues to strive for scientific excellence," he stated following his appointment.
Isabelle Pelletier-Doucement has been appointed as acting Vice-President Human Resources with effect from March 28, 2017.
Allianz France, an active player in the field of health, is also committed to supporting medical research with the aim of reducing and preventing health risks.
The March for Science initiative was launched in the United States to champion the vital importance of science for society.
The Institut Pasteur's senior management team has set up a Careers Committee with the aim of strengthening career support and promoting career development. To mark the publication by Editions Fayard of his new book entitled Géopolitique du moustique ("The Geopolitics of the Mosquito"), Erik Orsenna will give a presentation alongside Anna-Bella Failloux in which he will describe his "Pasteurian journey" across the world and his encounters with scientists specializing in mosquito-borne diseases, who provided him with material and guidance for his book, due to come out on April 3.
