The Senior Management (CODIR) team took advantage of the summer break to analyze the achievements made during the period 2014 – 2018 and to finesse the next Strategic Plan (2019 – 2023). The new Strategic Plan is now nearing completion and the President would like to thank all of you who have contributed and shared your ideas and all the directors in charge of different aspects of the plan. The next steps in the procedure are a presentation of the outline to the Conseil d'administration (CA – the board of administrators) during a special seminar to be held on September 26th followed by a high-level exchange during the board meeting on October 19th…

The relationship between research and society is becoming increasingly complex. Society's expectations of scientific research are broadening in a frequently challenging environment, leading to both concerns and opportunities, long-term commitments and new departures.
Make sure you save the date of September 20 to come along to a preview screening of the docudrama Pasteur et Koch, un duel de géants dans le monde des microbes (Pasteur and Koch: A duel of giants in the world of microbes), which will be broadcast on the TV channel Arte in October.
For the past year, the Institut Pasteur has adopted a circular economy strategy to encourage recycling of used pens. A collection box has been set up at the entrance of the company restaurant for any used writing instruments – pens, felt-tips, mechanical pencils, erasers, markers, highlighters and corrector pens – regardless of brand.
