CORONAVIRUS

We are currently living through a very difficult period. This pandemic, which has already claimed more than 15,000 lives in France, is affecting us all and is a source of fear and anxiety, for our families and ourselves. In his address to the French people on Monday, President Emmanuel Macron made a point of thanking all hospital staff, who are on the front line against the virus. The Institut Pasteur is part of this front line as it strives to bring a scientific response to the current crisis.

The Institut Pasteur in Paris and its International Network of 32 institutes have been extremely active worldwide in responding with science to the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Its response currently involves a lot of people at the Institut Pasteur in Paris and several teams in the network in other countries.

In the April 3 edition of the newsletter, we invited you to take part in the #PasteuriansTogether challenge as a way of sharing what you are up to and showing your support. The idea was for you to take a photo of your daily life during this unprecedented period, either on campus or at home, with the slogan #PasteuriansTogether. We received a huge number of photos in response to the challenge.
