The Scientific Secretariat General compiles information on the week’s conferences and publications, patents, funding opportunities, job vacancies, training and events that you may find useful for your career...

education

The PhD graduation ceremony was held on December 4, 2020, entirely online because of the context linked with the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the online format, the event was attended remotely by hundreds of people who were keen to celebrate the PhDs obtained by the Institut Pasteur's students throughout the year.

International

In the 2020 edition of its annual list of ten people who helped shape science, the scientific journal Nature recognized the work of Gonzalo Moratorio, who leads a laboratory at the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo, for his effective response to COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Human resources

In accordance with the statement of conclusions of December 6, 2004, for 2021, as well as the usual 12 days of additional leave, staff will be granted four extra days of additional leave so that the set annual number of working days, which stands at 204, corresponds with the 2021 calendar year (to compensate for public holidays that fall on days not usually worked).
