BIP : The Institut Pasteur Newsletter, July 26, 2024

JO2024

Since the start of the summer season, the newsletter team has presented some of the Institut Pasteur staff who are playing a role in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, whether in their capacity as an Institut Pasteur staff member, a volunteer or a sports person. These profiles have helped showcase the fantastic diversity of the Institut Pasteur community. This week, to mark the official opening of the Olympic Games today, we wanted to shine a final light on several staff members who have been selected as volunteers for this historic event.

Scientific events

The Scientific Secretariat General compiles information on the week’s conferences and publications, patents, funding opportunities, job vacancies, training and events that you may find useful for your career...

Conference

The lectures organized by the Scientific Council are an opportunity to find out about the latest developments in research and knowledge in a particular field. They are also a way of establishing links between specific research challenges and the broad scientific topics explored at each session. These unique lectures are aimed at the entire Institut Pasteur community.

education

The Institut Pasteur is one of the 6 consortium members of GenEpi-BioTrain, an ECDC-funded interdisciplinary 4-year program to strengthen surveillance, preparedness, and response capabilities for outbreaks. This project includes others host institutes as consortium (Technical University of Denmark (Denmark), Statens Serum Institute (Denmark), Research Center Borstel (Germany), Karolinska University Hospital and Institutet (Sweden) and Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (Finland)).

Security

On Monday July 15, the Information Systems Security (SSI) team carried out a phishing simulation test on all Institut Pasteur email addresses on the topic of the Olympics. For this first phishing simulation campaign, all email addresses were targeted and the reactions were analyzed over 24 hours.
