The "Pasteur, the experimenter" exhibition was officially opened last Wednesday with a ceremony attended by French President Emmanuel Macron. The exhibition, developed by Universcience in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur, is already creating a buzz.
Speaker Frédéric Tangy, Head of the Viral Genomics and Vaccination Unit, will explore the topic "New vaccines to prevent emerging viral diseases".

The scientific symposium and prize-giving ceremony for the 2017 Sanofi-Institut Pasteur Awards took place on December 12 at the Institut Pasteur. From January 1, 2018, there will be some changes to medical expenses benefits under the Welfare Agreement. These changes are being introduced following the work carried out over the past few months by the Welfare/Pension Department and Technical Commission of the Works Committee. They have been brought into effect by an agreement signed by all the Institut Pasteur's trade unions.

►Focus on: 2018 call for applications – "Major advances in French biology research presented by their authors"
The French Academy of Sciences will be selecting six young researchers/first authors who have contributed to major advances in biology in France in 2017 or 2018 and inviting them to come with their research director to present their research results in the Grande Salle des Séances at the Institut de France.
The winners will receive the Academy of Sciences award.
The submission deadline is February 13, 2018 and the public presentations will be held on June 5, 2018.
