CORONAVIRUS

The maladiecoronavirus.fr web application is a self-triage tool for suspected COVID-19 cases. It was the first application to be approved by the French Ministry of Health in March 2020, and has since been used by almost 13 million people. A study has demonstrated that use of maladiecoronavirus.fr led to an eightfold reduction in the number of unnecessary calls to the French medical emergency number (15).

With remote working again become the norm during the current period, many of us are having to create a makeshift office space at home. But poor posture on a daily basis can result in musculoskeletal disorders, causing neck or back pain and tendinitis in the elbow or wrist. To prevent these aches and pains and maintain a healthy body, it is important to adopt the right posture.

The biggest challenge encountered by academic centers in their efforts to bring significant new discoveries to market is the gap in technological development. There is a real gulf between early-stage inventions and the stage that innovative technologies need to reach to become viable, attractive candidates with a chance of being given a license and brought to market.
