• Launch of Pasteurdon 2015: you were there! As always, the launch of this year's Pasteurdon was awaited with great anticipation.
• Channel your fighting spirit by taking part in the 20km de Paris on October 11. Some 70 Institut Pasteur staff members will be taking to the streets of the French capital for the famous "20km de Paris" road race.
• Special issue of the Institut Pasteur staff magazine for the 9th Pasteurdon. The 86th issue of Campus, the Institut Pasteur's in-house magazine, is taking a closer look at the 9th edition of the Pasteurdon campaign.
Philippe Sansonetti received the Grand Prix Claude Bernard and Lluis Quintana-Murci was awarded the Grand Prix Jean Hamburger.
• Creation of the Malaria Infection and Immunity Unit
• Creation of the RNA Biology of Fungal Pathogens Unit
• Creation of the Genomics and Epigenomics of Vertebrate Development Unit
An annual call is launched to recruit junior (G5) candidates, currently working within Pasteur or outside the institute. No specific topic is excluded. Interdisciplinary projects are welcome.
In parallel, a call is launched for senior scientists currently working within the Institute, to head a unit.
The 2015 International Scientific Symposium of the Institut Pasteur International Network will take place from October 14 to 16. The event will be officially opened by Marisol Touraine, the French Minister for Social Affairs, Health and Women's Rights. Some 950 participants from 60 countries have registered for the symposium, which will feature 64 international speakers and 160 poster presentations.
The Department of International Affairs and the Education Department are pleased to inform you of a new fellowship program “Enhancing Mobility in Health and Environment” (EMHE).
On October 20, the Citech is hosting an internal seminar on CRISPR systems and technology, with a dozen short presentations by campus scientists working on the subject.
The Center for Human Immunology organizes the CIH Technology Seminar “Nanostring: digital color-coded barcode technology” presented by Rudy van Eijsden.

The iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) competition was set up to promote research in the area of synthetic biology. This annual competition was launched in 2004 by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in the United States. In 2015, the Institut Pasteur decided to take up the challenge by setting up its own team.
Over the weekend of October 17 and 18, the Défi Run will take place in Paris in partnership with Assu 2000, which has chosen to support and promote the work of the Institut Pasteur.
The first round of elections for members of the Works Council and staff representatives will take place from November 26 to December 2, 2015.
As part of the Unified Communications project, a new calendar is being set up.
The Technical Resources and Environment Department would like to inform you that during the International Network Symposium from October 14 to 16, campus access routes will be changed to improve traffic flow and keep any risks to a minimum.
