Parasites in the genus Plasmodium, which cause malaria, are transmitted to humans through bites from infected mosquitoes. The parasites manage to acclimatize to these two completely different hosts because the plasticity of their genome enables them to adapt as necessary.

Since January 1, 2020, the medical expenses benefits offered by the Vivinter additional health insurance scheme are changing in connection with the French government's "100% Santé" reform. The aim of 100% Santé is to provide universal access to quality healthcare, with costs being entirely covered by the French health insurance system and additional health insurance providers.

In preparation for the development of the Institut Pasteur's first mobility plan, the Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department ran a mobility survey from June 21 to July 13, 2019. The survey attracted a great deal of interest, with 726 people completing the entire questionnaire.
