2019-2023 STRATEGIC PLAN

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and to provide all its staff with a quality working environment, this year the Institut Pasteur launched a disability review and action plan in collaboration with Agefiph. The Institut Pasteur management team is pleased to invite you to an information meeting on Thursday November 16, from 3 to 4.45pm in the CIS, on the topic "Disability and employment."

In June 2022, the Institut Pasteur campus became an inspiring film set for the new Émilie Deleuze film, 5 hectares, starring Lambert Wilson. In the film, French star Lambert Wilson plays a respected Institut Pasteur scientist who, ignoring the advice of his partner, employer and neighbor, decides to invest in a house in Maussac, in France's Limousin region, and then buy himself a tractor in an attempt to blend in with the neighbors.

Scheduled for early November, the Cerebral Ageing experiment will depart for the International Space Station (ISS) from Cape Canaveral, Florida, inside a Dragon spacecraft atop a Falcon 9 launcher. The experiment aims firstly to create the conditions for studying complex human cellular structures in vitro over long periods in space.

PLATFORMS

Following on from the success of the first Department of Technology Open Day on December 6, 2022, a second edition will be held on November 20, 2023 from 11am to 3pm in the CIS. The event is organized by the Department of Technology in collaboration with the department directors.

The Carnot label, introduced in 2006, is awarded to public research organizations that aim to develop collaborative research. The Pasteur Microbes & Health Carnot Institute is based around four topics: emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, the microbiota and non-communicable diseases, and links with math, physics and chemistry.

In connection with the detailed carbon footprint analysis for the Institut Pasteur carried out by the Sustainable Development Department, the specialized firm Projet Celsius, which is guiding the department through the process, organized an Ecolunch on October 26 during the lunch hour.

Health

Seasonal flu vaccination sessions are being held free of charge for all those who work at the Institut Pasteur (including OREX employees, interns and retired staff) and hold an Institut Pasteur badge. Vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis and is particularly aimed at individuals for whom influenza may aggravate their state of health.

SCIENCE AND ARTS

On October 17, two artworks by Françoise Petrovitch were officially unveiled in the hall of the Émile Duclaux building. These works are the result of a further collaboration between the Institut Pasteur and the artist in 2022 in connection with the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur's birth.
